It is commonly known that most living things on Earth would become dead if extra cold, heat, pressure, or radiation were added on them, or if they were removed from enough oxygen or water. However, you may not know that some creatures could surprisingly thrive even in unordinary situations or they were adaptable to the changed environments so as to remain almost indestructible. For example, when a mature Turritopsis dohrnii, also called the immortal jellyfish, was put under stressful environment, it could quickly turn into a polyp. As a result, such process could go on without limitation, thus allowing it to become the only known creature which was regarded as biologically immortal creature. In addition, some animals such as the tardigrade that had another name of waterbears, were capable of surviving even if they were living in the vacuum of outer space!
